Great Prayer Quote

In Ephesians 6:18 Paul reminds us, "And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the Lord’s people."

Praying is one the most potent and loving things that we can do for others and ourselves. Praying draws us into a deeper and fuller relationship with God.

Even knowing all that, we can feel inadequate in our ability to pray, grasping for the right words to say. So, often times we leave prayer as the last resort, quip that "all" we can do is pray or we tell someone that we will pray for them without seizing that moment to pray with them.

Author, Max Lucado, wrote one of the most freeing statements on prayer: "Our prayers may be awkward. Our attempts may be feeble. But since the power of prayer is in the One who hears it and not in the one who says it, our prayers make difference." With the power of prayer laying on God, it releases us from having to pray correctly and frees us to pray with abandon about all things. We can pray in the truth of James 5:16 "The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective."

So "pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests!" Pray all the time about all things!!!
